2 Hurt in Scottsdale Car Accident

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates that 26 percent of Americans aged 16 and older have been injured in a car accident in their lifetimes. Every year, more than 2 million Americans seek medical treatment due to an automobile accident and the typical driver is involved in a collision every 18 years, according to Forbes.

Car accidents occur with such regularity in areas like Phoenix that they seem commonplace, perhaps even uninteresting to passersby. Yet the truth remains that when someone is personally involved in a collision or their loved one is injured or killed, a car accident’s devastating potential may be revealed in the form of physical and financial damages.

The best thing any driver can do to protect herself is to drive with safety in mind. Resist the urge to speed, make complete stops at all stop signs, and never attempt to run a yellow light. But no matter the lengths you take to operate your vehicle in a reasonable and safe manner, you may still be involved in a collision if another driver acts negligently. In these cases, and when injuries result, victims can seek financial compensation for the harm they sustain in a civil claim for damages.

Speaking with a personal injury about the specific facts of your accident can help you realize the legal implications of your crash, including whether you have a valid claim. If so, you may be entitled to payment for your past medical expenses, future medical costs, pain, suffering, permanency of injuries, scarring, inconvenience, loss of a normal life, rehabilitative care, and lost wages as well as any other hardships you endured.

Facts are still emerging by authorities in Scottsdale have confirmed that four vehicles collided there last night, sending two people to area hospitals with injuries. The accident occurred near the intersection of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Thompson Peak Parkway but the cause of the crash is not yet known.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and evaluated at least eight people who were involved in the collision though six reportedly refused additional treatment at that time.
