Multiple Vehicles Collide in Phoenix

The more vehicles involved in any car accident, the greater number of potential victims that result. In addition to the drivers of these cars, passengers may sustain injuries and may need help. Further, when the vehicles involved are large or have a passenger capacity greater than a typical car, like a bus for example, the number of potential victims can increase exponentially.

Multiple vehicle car accidents also make it difficult to determine who caused the crash or whether the actions of multiple drivers contributed to the collision. While one driver may witness a certain version of events, the position and placement of a second driver may reveal other complexities that led to the collision. It can take police officers weeks or even months to fully investigate a crash that results in serious injuries and many victims need help long before that time. Fortunately, Arizona recognizes this and allows accident victims the right to retain an attorney of the victim’s choosing to help them seek compensation they deserve. Speaking to a lawyer who handles injury cases may help you understand your options whether you were a driver, a passenger, a pedestrian or another victim of a car accident in Phoenix or the surrounding Valley cities.

Early this morning, police in Phoenix were alerted to a multi-vehicle crash near the Loop 101 and McDowell just before 5:00 am. At least three vehicles were involved in total and authorities have confirmed that a pickup truck was one of them. At this time, there has been no definitive word as to the cause of the crash and police are still in the midst of their investigation.

At least one of the vehicles involved rolled over and came to rest on its roof. While it is unclear how many people were inside the cars, authorities have stated that two men were left in critical condition and were transported by ambulance to area hospitals for emergency treatment.

Unfortunately, more than 100,000 car accidents and traffic collisions take place in Arizona every year and far too many of those cause injuries to the people involved. While advances in technology continue to make cars safer, injuries continue to occur and will do so until accidents are prevented or otherwise eliminated.

The safest driver on the street may be a victim of a crash if another motorist in the area acts in a negligent or reckless manner. It is always distressing to be the victim of a crash but when it is not your fault, often it seems worse, and the fact that you must deal with the financial fallout seems wrong.
